Quick music poll #1

It's late, and I should have posted hours ago. I'm polishing a proposal and getting ready for Capclave this weekend, so I only have time to get your feelings on one important question:

Whose music has held up better over the years, Def Leppard or the Skorpions?

Well, you hear Def Leppard more on the radio, but I think the Scorps have a deeper field of rock songs to work with. I'd go for Def Leppard for Karaoke night, and Scorps for everything else.

I was driving home the other day and heard "No One Like You" on JACK-FM, and thought it sounded pretty good. Whereas whenever I hear old Def Leppard, it just sounds silly. Does anyone play "Pour Some Sugar on Me" outside of a strip joint anymore?

John, at the next con, you must grace us with your best karaoke "Armageddon It." I would pay to see that.

Cecilia, only a non GenX-er such as yourself could fail to understand the gravity of such issues. While you Baby Boomers prattle on about taxes and Social Security and wars, we'll be over here arguing about the best arcade theme music.

I hang my head in aged shame for not understanding. Sorry, I'm stuck in the mode of considering which songs still resonate politically.Thanks for educationg me on new modes of thinking.
