Final scene

I just finished the first draft of Bad Company, more or less, a few minutes ago, while listening to Nirvana's Unplugged in New York album (it appears in Chapter Four, so I thought it appropriate). There are still a few holes to plug, but I've reached "The End" for the fifth time in my life.

Instead of relief, I feel a sudden loneliness. It's like I held a big party, and a huge group of my weirdest and fun-est friends all left at the same time. My head feels empty.

A small price to pay, though, for such a kick-ass party. I can't wait to invite you all.

Wow, that was fast. Are you on an RSS feed, or was it just coincidence?

Thanks so much, Rob. The buzz from the hard cider is settling in nicely now. Just thought you'd like to know. I decided it wasn't that yucky as long as it's drunk ice cold. Plus, we had nothing else in the house but cognac to celebrate with, and I'm so over cognac.

Congrats Jeri. Can't wait to read it when it comes out. And I am really looking forward to your Luna release in November.

Why, thanks, Kathy! I hope to have news soon (someday?) of BC's sale so I can announce when it'll be out. It could take awhile--these things usually do. It's agony, and the only analgesic is to keep working.

I'm planning the outfit to wear to BC's coming-out party, so confidrnt am I of its sale. I'm thinking beads, flowers, and gauze. See, I already have a lot of that around the house.
