Lilly Belle, Part Two

Meadow has her teddy bear back. When I cross the room, no one jumps up to watch my every move. A slobber-covered ball hasn't been dropped in my lap in over an hour.

This can only mean one thing.

Lilly Belle has left the building.

Wow, I just noticed you can see how much weight she's gained in a month since the first picture was taken. Life on the Outside has been good to her.

I mean, Outside the shelter, not outside-outside.

She's been adopted? That was fast.

We had her for almost a month, so that's about average. LB really had no issues or restrictions about what type of home she could go to, so that helped. In fact, she had people lined up to adopt her!

Her "forever home" is a happier place today.

We'll have an announcement on "forever homes" for a couple skinny dogs in the next week or so. We had planned to wait until spring, but I didn't make it.

I blame that Pedigree ad.

Congratulations, Libby Belle!

Yay, Sharon! That ad is so sad, but I hope it gets people to consider adopting from a shelter. I'm really bummed I forgot to watch the Westminster Dog Show. Last year we couldn't watch it because our foster, Brutus, kept attacking the TV. It's a great event to fill in the gaping sports void after the Super Bowl.
