Join my Street Team!
Real-life bands and radio stations have “street teams” to spread the word about their awesomeness. The loyal members hand out CDs, bumper stickers, buttons, and flyers for the next concert/event. They tell all their friends and even their enemies.
If you’re excited about Shade and/or the WVMP books and want to tell the world, then I love you. I love you so much that I want to invite you to join my inner circle, my very own Street Team.
You don’t have to stand on a street corner and shout about the book (though you’re welcome to—or if you prefer, the beach or boardwalk or the mall). Here are some other options:
- Offer bookmarks to your friends, family, or local booksellers and librarians
- Add a widget (displayed on the right) or book trailer to your blog, MySpace, Facebook, website, etc.
- Add a playlist to your blog or website (WVMP playlists) (Shade playlists)
- Blog about book releases
- Write a review
- Send a (non-spammy) e-mail to friends and family members you think would enjoy the books
- Recruit subscribers to my newsletter
IMPORTANT NOTE: There's no obligation to take part in any particular activity—just do whatever you find fun.

What else will you get? Every once in a while, I do a drawing among active Street Team members, to receive prizes like bookstore or iTunes gift cards, or free signed books or Advance Review Copy (ARC). One day I might even run a contest to name a character after a Street Team member. Hmmm....
